Plainfield Police Search for Stabbing Suspect

Plainfield Police are actively seeking the whereabouts of a suspect in a Saturday evening stabbing incident.

According to authorities, on Saturday, March 18th, at approximately 8:00 pm, Plainfield Police and EMS Units responded to the 300 block of East 6th Street on a report of a stabbing.

Upon officers arrival to the area, they located a 19-year-old female with injuries consistent with a stabbing.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

An investigation revealed the victim and **Daniel Oscar Toj-Salamon, age 23 of Plainfield** were involved in a relationship.

Toj-Salamon has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and Criminal Restraint and remains at large.
