Police in Plainfield arrested Mr. Darnell Davis, 46, of Plainfield, and charged him with two counts of theft today.
According to a statement released by police officials, Davis has been arrested approximately ten times in Plainfield and the surrounding towns since September 2017.
Police say all of Davis's arrests involved stealing packages from the porches of residences that were left outside by various delivery companies.
According to police, surveillance cameras captured Davis several times in the act along with witnesses observing him wearing a UPS, Comcast, and other company jackets and atter attire when he casually approaches homes then steal packages.
Police encourage residents to please keep an eye out for Davis in your neighborhood and instruct delivery men to ring the bell and/or leave the package with a neighbor.
