Plainfield Man Charged in Piscataway Shots Fired Incident

Middlesex County authorities announced tthe arrest of a Plainfield man for a non-fatal shooting.  

According to police, on January 19, Mr. Dasean Toney, 22, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with second-degree Aggravated Assault, second-degree Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and second-degree Possession of a Firearm for an Unlawful Purpose.

Police said at approximately 11:31 A.M., Piscataway police officers responded to the area of Draco Road in the Starpoint Complex following a report of shots fired.    

Upon their arrival, authorities observed bullet holes in the exterior of a vehicle and multiple residences.

According to police there were no injuries and the shooting appears to be an isolated incident.

Toney is presently lodged at the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center pending a detention hearing in Superior Court.
