NJ’s Oldest Art School to Host Art Sale Fundraiser in Plainfield

Plainfield

An extensive collection of original artwork from national and international artists in support of two major community organizations.

Two great organizations started by women are coming together to celebrate art. The duCret School of Art and the League of Women Voters of New Jersey are joining in order to host a large art sale of framed original artwork.

“duCret has a history of strong female artists and leaders and we felt it was a natural fit to host this sale with the League of Women Voters of New Jersey,” said Dr. Joan Coll-Reilly, Provost of the duCret School of Art. Both organizations are proud to be a part of this large sale.

“The creative power of art fuels civic engagement and social change,” said Nancy Hedinger, President of the League of Women Voters of New Jersey. “The League is grateful to the duCret School of Art for recognizing this overlap and for generously hosting this fundraiser in support of both of our organizations.”

This is the first time these women-led organizations have come together since their inception.

The Original Art Sale will be held on June 24th from 12 until 4 p.m. at 1030 Central Avenue in Plainfield.
