Pizza Delivery Woman Keys Snatched, Car Stolen in Newark's Ironbound Section

Police are looking for a suspect who stole a vehicle for a woman who was delivering pizza on a Newark Ironbound street on Saturday afternoon.

According to preliminary reports, police were called to the 80's block of Delancey Street at around 2 p.m. after they received reports of a possible carjacking.

Units arriving at the scene were met by visibly emotionally shaken Pizza Hut female delivery driver who told officers that while delivering pizza to a home on the street, a black male suspect approached and snatched the keys to her car from her hand.

The suspect reportedly ran towards the woman's silver Jeep Cherokee then entered and sped from the scene according to the victims.

The victim identified the suspect as 6ft tall with a slim build who was accompanied by a black male suspect occupying a light colored Jeep.

Police are looking for the victim's Jeep that has a reported NJ license plate number "RM8-1DJ."

There were no physical injuries reported.
