It’s currently a pleasant 69 degrees on Bergen Street and South Orange Avenue in Newark's Central Ward, and we’re on track for a warm and sunny day ahead.

According to The National Weather Service, today’s forecast features sunshine, low humidity, and a high near 85 degrees.

Winds will remain light in the morning, picking up slightly out of the south between 6 and 11 mph by midday.

This makes for an ideal beach day, and with New Jersey beaches officially reopened, it’s a great time to enjoy the sand and surf. However, state officials are urging caution: dangerous riptides remain a risk due to recent storm activity.

If you're planning to swim, please be safe—only enter the water where lifeguards are present and follow all posted warnings.

Tonight’s Outlook From NWS:
Expect mostly clear skies with temperatures dipping to around 67 degrees, making for a perfect summer night.
