City officials and residents came together this morning at the Midtown Pedestrian Plaza to honor and remember the six Elizabeth residents who lost their life sixteen years ago.
The ceremony - which took place at the Midtown Pedestrian Plaza, Midtown Train Station ( located on W. Grand Street) - initiated following one of three sirens that went off at the exact times each plane struck.

Among the many who perished that day were Arcelia Castillo, Carlos Da Costa, Colleen Fraser, Margaret Lewis, Frankie Serrano, and Anthony Tempesta, all from Elizabeth.
The event ran until 10 this moring.
