Phone Threat Locksdown Hoboken Hospital

Hudson County authorities are investigating an incident that placed a hospital in Hoboken on lockdown earlier today.

According to a brief statement released by Hoboken Chief Ferrante, at approximately 2:40 p.m., 911 operators received a phone call where a male verbalized a threat at Hoboken University Medical Center.

Chief Ferrante said The Hudson County Sheriff and Jersey City Police sent K-9 units to assist with checking the hospital.

”Hoboken Police took all necessary precautions and are working with the administration at Care Point Health (HUMC).”

Chief Ferrate said there are no visible threats of danger, nor has any evacuations took place at this time.

The area near the hospital is closed to traffic so that law enforcement can do their assessment.

Detectives are already investigating the call Chief Ferrante said.
