Philadelphia Man Fatally Shot in Atlantic City, Homicide Investigation Underway

A tragic incident happened on Friday when Mr. Khalid Scott Jr, a 26-year-old man from Philadelphia, lost his life in a shooting in Atlantic City.

MorganThe Atlantic City Police Department, in cooperation with the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office, is actively conducting a homicide investigation into the matter.

At approximately 12:50 p.m., the Atlantic City Police Department received a distress call and swiftly dispatched officers to the 1900 block of Grant Avenue in response to reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, they discovered Khalid Scott Jr seated in the driver's seat of a two-door sedan, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

Scott was immediately transported to AtlantiCare Medical Center, where medical personnel worked tirelessly to save his life.

Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, he was pronounced deceased on November 11, 2023, at 2:15 p.m.

The tragic incident has prompted a joint investigation by the Atlantic County Major Crimes Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department Violent Crimes Unit. Authorities are actively seeking any information that could help shed light on the circumstances surrounding this shooting.
