Authorities in Newark request the public’s help identifying the individuals pictured, who are persons of interest in an aggravated assault on August 11.

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., stated that police responded to the incident, which occurred at approximately 4:50 p.m. in front of an apartment building in the 200 block of Mt. Vernon Place.
The victim, a resident of the building, had just left Ivy Hill Park across the street and was headed home when six young males taunted him, questioning whether he lived in the neighborhood, Newark officials say.
According to Newark officials, the victim ran, but the young males caught up to him near the building’s entrance and attacked him.
After the assault, one of the individuals pulled out a weapon and pointed it at the victim, who suffered injuries to his hands and face, Newark officials stated.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information on the identity of the persons of interest to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
