The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office is seeking help from the public identifying a person of interest believed to have information regarding the murder of Yusef Perez, Jr., 17, of Newark.
Authorities said, on July 6, 2015 Perez’ body was found in the rear of 140 Littleton Avenue in Newark. Perez had been reported missing four days earlier.
According to authorities, after leaving his home at George King Village, Perez was last seen on July 2 at approximately 9:40 p.m. in the area of Littleton and 12th Avenues in the company of an unidentified male.
On the same date at approximately 10:05 pm the same unidentified male is seen walking back on Littleton Avenue then west onto 12th Avenue authorities said.
That is the last time Perez was seen.

Perez is the young man wearing an afro hair style to the far right.
