Authorities in Jersey City are looking into a stabbing that left one person injured in the city late Monday night.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the vicinity of 149 Claremont Avenue to investigate an injured person.
Officers arrived at the scene found an unidentified person suffering a stab wound to the neck at that location.
EMS transported the victim to Jersey City Medical Center where doctors treated non-fatal injuries according to initial reports.
The motive for the stabbing remains under investigation. Jersey City officials have not responded to public information requests regarding the incident at this time.
