Person Found Sleeping in Stolen Car Arrested in Newark

Police on early morning routine patrol in the city's South Ward were flagged down by a passerby who noticed a person unconscious inside of a vehicle. 

The passerby flagged officers down in the 100 block of Hobson Street shortly before 5:30 a.m. where investigating officers arrived to find that the person was asleep in the vehicle. 

A registration check of the vehicle revealed that the car was reported stolen. 

Police arrested the person without incident.
