No criminal activity was immediately reported after police found a person hanging in a South River neighborhood overnight.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the 70 block of Whitehead Avenue to investigated reports of an injured person before 6 a.m.
Upon their arrival, they found the unidentified person hanging outside at that location reports said.
Medical crews pronounced the person dead at the scene.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
