Person Accused of Robbing Food Delivery Man at Gunpoint in Newark Sought

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a person wanted in connection with an armed robbery that occurred March 22nd.

According to authorities, shortly after 4 p.m., a food delivery man was robbed at gunpoint after making a delivery on the 300 block of 16th Avenue.

Officials say the victim was approached by an armed male who demanded his money before entering a tan Toyota Avalon and fleeing west on 16th Avenue.

Police describe the suspect as 6’1” tall, 240 lbs., has a beard and was last seen wearing a black and purple North Face Steep Tech jacket.

While detectives investigating this incident are actively searching for the suspect, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly identifying the suspect.
