Authorities in Camden County are investigating a shooting that claimed the life of a 29-year-old Pennsauken man last week.
According to a statement released by Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez, officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 1200 block of Princess Avenue in Camden at approximately 9:47 a.m. on Tuesday, October 20.
When police arrived, they found Jeshua Sammons, 29, of Pennsauken, suffering from a gunshot wound while lying on the sidewalk.
Emergency personnel transported Sammons to Cooper University Hospital, where he remained until he was pronounced dead at approximately 11:18 a.m. the following day.
Investigators have not disclosed the circumstances surrounding the shooting or what may have led to the violence.
No arrests have been announced, and the investigation remains active.
