Emergency responders reported severe injuries for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in a section of Newark's Central Ward Friday.
The late-night incident happened around 10 p.m. near the intersection of Norfolk and West Market streets.
Police arrived at the scene and found the victim suffering a head injury, then requested EMS to rush to the area.
According to reports, the unidentified victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment and treated for serious injruies.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
