A pedestrian struck by a vehicle in Gloucester Township suffered severe injuries overnight according to officials.
It happened at approximately 7 p.m. in the northbound lanes of NJ-42 near mile marker 9.2 where police arrived to find the badly injured victim trapped under a vehicle that struck them at that location according to reports.
Emergency responders and rescue crews were able to extricate the victim who suffered life-threatening injuries.
The incident remains under investigation. There were no arrests made.
