Paterson Police reported serious injuries to a pedestrian struck by a car in a section of the city Saturday morning.
Police say at approximately 3:40 a.m., emergency responders were called to the vicinity of 641 Main Street to investigate reports of an injured person.
Police and EMS arrived and found the severely injured person lying on the ground after a car struck them at that location.
EMS rushed the victim to St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment while police investigated the scene.
The incident is under investigation and no summonses were immediately reported for the driver of the car.
