The Essex County Prosecutor's Office was summoned to the scene of a pedestrian strike on the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) campus this evening, around 7:45 p.m.

PedestrianLaw enforcement and EMS teams hurried to the intersection of Summit and Warren streets following reports of an injured individual.

Upon arrival, responders discovered an unidentified male victim who had sustained severe injuries.

Urgently, they provided medical attention and swiftly transported the victim to University Hospital, where he is currently listed in critical condition.
