Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Car on NJ-72 in Woodland
Burlington County authorities closed a NJ road as they investigated a pedestrian strike that killed one person Wednesday morning in Burlington.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the 100 block of NJ-72 to investigate 911 calls of a pedestrian strike that occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m.
Emergency responders arrived to find the unidentified, unconscious and unresponsive victim severely injured at that location.
Medical personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene according to reports.
The cause of the fatal pedestrian strike remains under investigation.
