Authorities are investigating a Saturday night crash in East Orange that left a pedestrian in critical condition, officials said.
According to preliminary information, the incident happened around 9:35 p.m. in the teens block of North Oraton Parkway.
Responding officers found an unidentified person lying on the ground, unresponsive, after being struck by a vehicle.
The victim was rushed to University Hospital in Newark, where they were listed in critical condition.
As of 4:30 a.m. Sunday, officials had not released further details on the extent of the victim’s injuries.
The crash remains under active investigation.
