Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Bergen County Crash

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit is investigating a crash involving a pedestrian that occurred in Closter Sunday. 

Officials said it happened in the area of Durie Avenue and Legion Place in Closter at approximately 3:30 p.m. 

The car that struck the pedestrian reportedly fled the scene after the collision. 

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office is conducting the investigation under the direction of Chief Jason Love, and the Closter Police Department under the direction of Chief Jack McTigue.

No other injuries were reported.
