A pedestrian struck and killed by a vehicle in Maple Shade has Burlington County authorities investigating.
Emergency responders were called to the vicinity of Waverly Avenue and NJ-73 at around 11:35 when they received reports of a person injured at that location.
Upon their arrival, police and medical crews found the unconscious and unresponsive woman laying on the ground suffering severe injuries.
Authorities said medics pronounced the unidentified woman dead at the scene.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
The driver who struck the woman remained at the scene.
