Investigators for the Essex County Prosecutor's Office are looking into a pedestrian strike that left one person dead overnight in Livingston.
Emergency responders were called to the intersection of JFK Parkway and South Orange Avenue after the received calls of a person injured at that location.
Crews arrived at the scene to find the unidentified victim unconscious and unresponsive suffering severe injuries.
Medics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
