Pedestrian Killed by NJ Transit Train in Paterson

At approximately 11:13 a.m. Port Jervis Line train 58, which departed Port Jervis at 9:21 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Hoboken at 11:38 a.m., struck and fatally injured a pedestrian near the Paterson station.

According to NJ Transit Police, no injuries were reported to the 90 customers or the crew on board.

NJ Transit said rail service on the Port Jervis line is suspended between Clifton and Paterson.

New Jersey Transit Police are leading the investigation.
