Police in Phillipsburg are continuing to investigate a pedestrian strike that killed a man on Route 22 Saturday night.
According to preliminary reports, the adult male victim was crossing the highway at Warren Street when the driver of a Ford SUV struck him then drove away from the scene.
The driver was later found on Route 78 and placed under arrest according to reports on WPVI-6 news website.
Police have not released officials charges or the identity of the victim at this time.
