Authorities in Ocean County are investigating a vehicle collision that claimed the life of a pedestrian late Wednesday night in Brick Township.
Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Brick Boulevard to investigate reports of a person hit by a vehicle before 10:50 p.m.
Emergency responders found the severely injured victim lying on the ground after a vehicle struck them at that location.
Authorities say the victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and no other injuries were reported.
The cause of the crash has not been officially determined.
