Police in Pemberton are investigating a pedestrian strike that left one person dead overnight in the Township.
Emergency responders were called to the vicinity of Pemberton Bypass and Shady lanes before 11:45 p.m. where they arrived to find an unconscious and unresponsive person suffering serious injuries after they were struck by a car at that location according to reports.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police closed Route 530 for an extended amount of time to investigate the what officially caused the incident.
The identity of the victim has not been released at this time. There were no arrests reported.
