Mercer County investigators are looking into a pedestrian strike that left one person dead overnight in Lawrence Township.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the intersection of Franklin Corner Road and Brunswick Pike at approximately 12:15 a.m. after they received reports of an injured person.
Units arriving at the scene found an unconscious and unresponsive person lying on the ground suffering severe injuries.
Medical personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene according to reports.
The investigation into what caused the incident remains active and ongoing.
