Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Car in New Brunswick

Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Director Anthony A. Caputo of the New Brunswick Police Department announced that a pedestrian was killed Wedensday evening after being struck by a vehicle.

Officials said in a statement, the initial investigation conducted by Officer Peter Maroon of the New Brunswick Police Department and Detective Jonathan Berman of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office determined a man, who is yet to be identified, was fatally struck on Livingston Avenue in the vicinity of Welton Street.

The male was pronounced dead at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.

The motorist remained on scene to cooperate with law enforcement.

Officials say the investigation is active and continuing.
