Pedestrian Critically Injured After Being Struck on Route 1 in Trenton

Authorities in Mercer County are investigating a serious overnight crash that left a pedestrian with life-threatening injuries in Trenton.

According to preliminary information, the incident occurred around 3:20 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Route 1 and Perry Street. 

 

Police were dispatched after multiple 911 callers reported a person lying in the roadway.

 

Responding officers and EMS crews arrived to find an unidentified individual unconscious and unresponsive after being struck by a vehicle. 

 

Officials said the victim had sustained severe injuries and was in cardiac arrest at the scene.
 

Emergency medical personnel initiated life-saving measures before transporting the victim to an area hospital for further treatment. 

 

The individual’s current condition has not been publicly disclosed.
 

No additional details about the वाहन involved or the driver have been released. The circumstances leading up to the crash remain under active and ongoing investigation.
