Authorities in Passaic County announced that at approximately 1:18 a.m. on May 23, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Pennington Street and Market Street on a report of shots fired.
Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said that upon arrival, Paterson Police were notified that a 20-year-old male victim from Paterson arrived at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center via private vehicle for treatment of a non-fatal gunshot wound.
Members of the Paterson Police Department were able to locate a potential crime scene in the area, officials stated.
According to officials, the investigation remains active and ongoing.
More information will be released once it becomes available, officials said.
