Paterson Shooting Suspect Sought by Police

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald are requesting the public’s assistance in locating the individual charged in regard to the November 18, 2019 shooting investigation in the area of Paterson Avenue Paterson.

Police say on November 18, members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Paterson Avenue Paterson on a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival the police located evidence of a crime scene and a 23-year-old male Paterson resident who suffered a non-fatal gunshot wound.

The victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson for treatment police said.

Based on the initial investigation three suspects had approached the victim to rob him and in the course of the robbery shot the victim.

One of the actors, Luis Romero was apprehended November 20, another actor who was identified as a juvenile was arrested November 27.

Police say the third individual Ismael Marrero remains unapprehend.

The public is being requested to view Mr. Marrero’s photo in an attempt to locate him.

If anyone sees Ismael Marrero they are to contact Detective Ricardo Ferreira at 862-881-2122.

The public should not try to approach Mr. Marrero if they see him.
