The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office is looking into a shooting that left a person dead in Paterson overnight.
Paterson Police were notified of a shooting that occurred in the vicinity of Hamilton Avenue and Auburn Street at approximately 10:30 a.m. where they arrived to find the victim suffering gunshot wounds at that location.
EMS units were requested on a rush after the victim's condition began to deteriorate according to authorities.
The victim was transported to St. Josephs Hospital where medical personnel pronounced the person dead a short time later.
Police set up a crime scene where they searched for evidence to support a motive.
There were no arrests reported.
