Police in Paterson are actively searching for suspects involved in an armed carjacking that occurred late Sunday night in the city.
According to initial reports, officers were dispatched to the 20s block of Mill Street around 11:40 p.m. after receiving 911 calls about a carjacking in progress.
When officers arrived, they learned that two suspects, both armed with firearms, had stolen a black Acura TLX from the victim.
While no injuries were reported, the suspects fled the scene with the vehicle.
A short time later, police located the stolen Acura abandoned on North 1st Street—less than 30 minutes after the initial call.
