Paterson Police Recover Multiple Weapons at Shots Fired Scene

Paterson Police recovered multiple weapons at the scene of a shooting in a section of the city Sunday. 

Early morning gunfire erupted in the 300 block of 11th Avenue around 12:55 a.m. 

Officers arrived at the scene and found shell casings and a further search of the location revealed three weapons, according to police. 

Authorities say units found over 40 shell casings after what appeared to be an exchange of gunfire using ammunition from .223, 9mm, and 40 caliber weapons. 

Police say no victims were located and the investigation remains active. 

No arrests have been reported.
