According to information released by the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office, the Paterson Police Department seized a total of 24 firearms during the month of September as part of ongoing efforts to reduce gun violence in the city.

Authorities said the recoveries were the result of proactive enforcement, targeted investigations, and cooperation with state agencies.

Police officials noted that the monthly total reflects a steady increase compared to last year, with 120 guns confiscated so far in 2025, compared to 110 by this point in 2024.
