Police in Paterson are investigating a shooting incident that sent two victims to the hospital at a location in the city overnight.
According to police, at approximately 7:40 p.m, gunfire rang out in the vicinity of Liberty Street and Paterson Avenue, sending police to the scene to investigate.
Upon arrival, police found a male victim suffering a non-life threatening bullet wound in his foot at that location.
While police searched the area for evidence and other possible victims, officials at St. Joseph's Medical Center notified police of a gunshot victim who entered the emergency department suffering bullet wounds.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation and the suspect remains at-large.
