Authorities in Paterson are investigating a stabbing that left one person seriously injured Monday night in the city’s Eastside neighborhood.
According to preliminary reports, officers were called to the area of East 18th Street and Warren Street at approximately 8:15 p.m. after receiving information about a person who had been injured.
When police arrived, they discovered an unidentified individual suffering from stab wounds.
The victim was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, where they are expected to recover.
While there were initial reports of a second individual possibly being stabbed, police have not confirmed that detail.
During the course of their investigation, officers recovered a weapon at the scene. However, no arrests have been reported at this time.
The incident remains under active investigation by Paterson Police.
