Paterson Man Killed in Route 20 Motorcycle Crash

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald announce that on Saturday at approximately 6:03 p.m., officers responded to Route 20 South near the intersection of Park Avenue, in the City of Paterson in response to a report of a motorcycle crash.

Police say Mr. Miguel Soto, 30 years old of Paterson, was operating a 2008 Honda CBR motorcycle, in the southbound lanes of Route 20.

According to preliminary police, at some point, that motorcycle made contact with a 2008 Acura MDX, being operated by Albert Barette, 70-years-old of Wayne, New Jersey.

Mr. Soto then lost control of the motorcycle and crashed. Mr. Soto succumbed to his injuries at 6:38 p.m.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
