Paterson Man Indicted for Fire Inside Bank of America

Passaic County Prosecutor announced that Reshawn Evans, 27, from Paterson has been indicted in relation to a fire investigation that occurred at the Bank of America, located at 190 Main Street, in Paterson on April 26. 

Police say a Passaic County Grand Jury has returned Indictment No. 21-07-00272-I, charging Mr. Evans with Aggravated Arson, Second Degree in violation of N.J.S.A 2C:17-1(a)2, Aggravated Arson, Second Degree in violation of N.J.S.A 2C:17-1(a)1, and Risking Widespread Injury or Damage, Fourth Degree in violation of N.J.S.A 2C:17-2(c).

A Superior Court Judge previously granted the State’s motion for the pretrial detention of the defendant who is currently detained in the Passaic County Jail pending the disposition of this case.

Mr. Evans will be scheduled for an arraignment in the near future before a Superior Court Judge.
