Authorities in Passaic County announced the arrest of Kenyatta Lighty, 44, from Paterson.
According to Passaic County officials, Mr. Lighty was arrested on December 9 after an investigation conducted by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit.
Officials say Mr. Lighty is charged with two counts of third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; and two counts of fourth-degree Criminal Sexual Contact.
It is alleged that on two separate occasions between dates in July 2021 and July 2022, Mr. Lighty committed acts of sexual contact against a 15-year-old girl.
If convicted, Mr. Lighty would be subject to Megan’s Law registration requirements and Parole Supervision for Life.
