Passaic Stabbing Victim Self-Transported to Hospital

Police in Passaic checked a location in the city for evidence of a stabbing after a victim was transported to a hospital early Sunday morning.

According to preliminary reports, police were called to the St. Mary's Hospital to investigate after officials observed the victim entered the emergency department bleeding from a stab wound shortly before 5 a.m.

According to authorities, the victim reported suffering the stab injury in the 30's block of Monroe Street shortly before being transported to the hospital.

The victim's injuries were not reported to be life threatening, and the investigation into the incident remains active and ongoing.
