Police in Passaic are searching for a suspect who fired multiple shots in a city neighborhood early Saturday morning.
According to authorities, officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 80s block of 3rd Street shortly before 3:30 a.m.
Upon arrival, police found several shell casings at the scene, but no victims were located.
As part of their investigation, police checked area hospitals for any walk-in gunshot victims, but no injuries have been reported at this time.
The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and no arrests have been made.
Passaic police continue to investigate and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
