Police in Passaic are investigating an overnight incident after a person walked into a city hospital suffering from apparent stab wounds, authorities said.
According to preliminary information, officials at St. Mary’s Hospital notified police when an injured individual entered the emergency room with wounds to the face and back.
Officers responded to the hospital and attempted to interview the victim.

Police said the victim was uncooperative and refused to disclose where the incident occurred or provide details about the attack.
The injuries were reported to be non-life-threatening.
The investigation remains ongoing as police work to determine who assaulted the victim and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
No further information has been released at this time.
