Authorities in Passaic County are investigating a tragic shooting incident that unfolded in Passaic early Saturday morning, resulting in the loss of one individual's life.
It occurred at approximately 3 a.m. in the 200 block of Harrison Street.
Officers were dispatched to the scene in response to reports of gunfire in the area. Upon arrival, they discovered an unidentified person who had sustained a gunshot wound.
Despite the efforts of first responders, the victim was pronounced deceased shortly after that.
The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office has been notified and will spearhead the investigation into this tragic event.
At this time, no other injuries related to the incident have been reported, and authorities are diligently working to uncover the motive behind the shooting.
