Parsippany Teacher Accused of Placing Recording Device in Faculty Bathroom

Parsippany-Troy Hills

Police took an elementary school teacher into custody on Thursday after he was accused of setting up a recording device at the Littleton Elementary School.

Authorities said Christopher Esnes, 40, of the Gillette section of Long Hill, was charged with invasion of privacy after an investigation conducted by Parsippany Police.

The investigation indicated that Esnes, a physical education teacher, set the device up in the toilet area of the adult designated faculty bathroom for an undetermined amount of time but was found on Thursday.

Police said no footage of students were found but they are continuing the investigation.

Esnes was released pending his court appearance.

These are mere allegations lodged against Esnes. He is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
