Parsippany Student Critical After Collapsing in School Bathroom

Parsippany-Troy Hills

A student at Central Middle School was taken to the hospital after he collapsed in the bathroom, police said this afternoon.

According to police, the boy asked to go to the bathroom while he was in gym class. A short time later a second student alerted the gym teacher that a student was unresponsive in a bathroom stall.

Faculty began to perform CPR on the boy until paramedics arrived. The student was subsequently transported to Morristown Medical Center where he is in critical condition.

It is unclear at this time what caused the boy to collapse, according to officials. However, friends and family of the boy said he apparently suffered an asthma attack.
