Parsippany Man Killed After Ejecting from Motorcycle on I-80 in Wharton

NJ Stae Police officials are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist on a Morris County highway Friday night.

According to a statement released by State Police, the crash occurred at 11:30 PM in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 in Wharton Borough, Morris County.

Officials said preliminary information indicates that in the area of milepost 33.6, a BMW motorcycle ran off the left side of the roadway and struck the guard rail causing the driver to be ejected.

According to officials, the driver, Mr. John Nicholson, 31, of Parsippany, was pronounced dead at the scene.

There were no other injuries reported.
